Denarius, Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1086–1138). Obverse: in the beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in the triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; between its arms, one ball (two of them with one dot). Iconography: spearhead, equal-armed cross, crosses, jaws, chain mail, martyrs, knight, dragons, fight between good and evil, fight against pagans, Adalbert (Saint; ca. 956–997). Romanesque style. Date ca. 1125–1138. Poland, Kraków. Coin (denarius). Diameter 12.0–12.2 mm. Weight 0.46 g.
