Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1107–1138). Obverse: in a linear border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon; a dot above the knight's left foot. Reverse: in a triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; between its arms, one ball (three of them with one dot). Iconography: knight, chain mail, spear, spearhead (issue mark), dragon, jaws, equal-armed cross, martyrs, fight against pagans, fight between good and evil, Adalbert (Saint; ca. 956–997). Romanesque style. Ca. 1125–1138. Poland, Kraków. Silver coin (denarius). Diameter: 12.3–12.8 mm. Weight: 0.50 g.
