Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1086–1138). Obverse: in the linear border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in the triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; between its arms, one ball (one of them with a dot). Iconography: equal-armed cross, crosses, chain mail, spearhead (issue mark), spears, knights, dragons, fight between good and evil, fight against pagans, martyr/saint (Adalbert, ca. 956–997), Romanesque style. Date: ca. 1125–1138. Place: Kraków, Poland. Coin; diameter 12.2–12.5 mm; weight 0.35 g.
