Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1086–1138 / 1107–1138). Obverse: in the beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in the double beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls (two of them with dots); between its arms, one ball (three of them with dots). Iconography: spearhead, spears, chain mail, knights, dragons, cross (equal-armed), martyrs, mouths, fight between good and evil, fight against pagans, Adalbert (Saint, ca. 956–997). Romanesque style. Coin; c. 1125–1138; Poland, Kraków. Diameter: 12.2–12.6 mm; weight: 0.35 g.
