Légende
Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland, c. 1086–1138), c. 1125–1138. Obverse: within a beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon; under the knight's right elbow, an isosceles cross with arms terminating in balls. Reverse: within a triple beaded border, an isosceles cross terminating in balls; at the intersection of the arms a ball, between them a single ball; on one arm a crossbar; one arm intersects the other at approximately one-third of its length. Romanesque style; iconography: knight (Saint Adalbert), dragons, fight between good and evil, martyrs, fight against pagans; materials: silver coin; diameter ~12.3–12.9 mm; weight 0.47 g.
