Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; ca. 1125–1138). Obverse: in the beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in the triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; a dot at the intersection of the arms; between the arms two radiating balls (smaller ones closer to the center, larger ones—one with a dot). Iconography: knight, chain mail, spearhead/spear, dragon, equal-armed cross, mouths, martyrs, fight between good and evil/fight against pagans, Adalbert (Saint). Romanesque style. Very good state of preservation. Poland, Kraków; coin; diameter 13.4–13.8 mm; weight 0.75 g.
