Three commemorative 3 kreuzer coins for the death of Joachim Frederick, Duke of Brzeg-Legnica (1550–1602). Maker: Krause, Adam (fl. ?–1605); engraver/publisher: Kauerhase, Mathias (fl. ca. 1572–1627). Posthumous commemorative coins depicting Joachim Frederick of the Piast family; iconography: ruler's male busts in armour, facing right, bare head, ruff and cloak fastened at the shoulder. Obverse: male bust facing right with beard and sideburns, in armour, ruff and cloak; in rim between pearl borders an inscription separated by the value digit (3) +MEMOR.IO, RID. - DVCIS.SLE.LEG.BREG. Reverse: in a double pearl border an inscription in five lines with arabesques at top and bottom: PLACIDIS/OBIIT.AN.M./DCII.M.MART/DIE.XXV.HO/RAV., .PM, 1602. Place: Silesia, Duchy of Brzeg-Legnica-Wolów, Zloty Stok. Coin, diameter 24.9 mm, weight 2.40 g, axis 50°.
