Trojak by Michael Stoltz (fl. ca. 1540–1555), 1544. Silver coin (trojak), diameter 21.2 mm, weight 2.60 g, axis 270°. Obverse: male bust in armour turned right, with beard and sideburns; beaded rim with inscription beginning with a trefoil: 'VERB.D, I:MANET.IN.ETERN' (partial). Reverse: continuous border with a six-line inscription and numerals of value and date with trefoils: 'III/GROSS:AR./TRIP:FRID/DVC:SLES/LEG:BREG./I544'. Iconography: busts and portraits of Frederick II (Duke of Brzeg-Legnica; 1480–1547), Piast dynasty; portraits of the ruler in armour, bust of the ruler to the right. Origin: Silesia, Duchy of Brzeg-Legnica-Wolów (Legnica).
