Denarius of Faustina the Younger (ca. 130–176; Roman empress 161–176; Augusta). Obverse: draped bust of Faustina II facing right, inscription FAVSTINAE AVG - PII AVG FIL. Reverse: Venus standing left, holding an apple in her outstretched right hand and a rudder in her left, a dolphin wrapped around the rudder, inscription V - E - NVS. Iconography: Venus, Roman deities, dolphins, apples, rudders. Date: 147–161. Roman Empire (27 BC–476). Coin; diameter 17.0–18.5 mm; weight 3.10 g; axis 180°.
