Lithuanian half-grosz, Sigismund I the Old (king of Poland; 1506–1548). R8 (rarity). Polish coin from 1509, minted in Vilnius, Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Jagiellon dynasty. Materials/style: coin with coats of arms — Chaser (Lithuania) and Polish crowned eagle. Obverse: Chaser turned left; in the rim between pearl borders an inscription: + COIN:, SMVNDI, 09. Reverse: Polish crowned eagle; in the rim between pearl borders an inscription: MA, VCIS:LITVA, 1509.
