Lithuanian half-grosz, Sigismund I the Old (King of Poland; reign 1506–1548), 1513. Silver coin (half-grosz) from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, struck in Vilnius. Obverse: Pogon (Lithuanian charging knight) turned left; in the rim between pearl borders an inscription: + COIN:SIGISMVNDI:13:. Reverse: Polish crowned eagle; in the rim between pearl borders an inscription: + MAGNI:DVCIS:LITVA. Features coats of arms of Poland (eagle) and Lithuania (Pogon); associated with the Jagiellon dynasty.
