Reverse: Salus seated on a throne facing left, holding a patera in her outstretched right hand feeding a snake wrapped around an altar; left hand rests on the back of the seat, legend S A - LVS. Issuer: Marcus Aurelius (121–180; Roman emperor 161–180). Iconography: snakes, personifications, altars, paterae, Salus. Date: 161–176. Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome.
