Denarius depicting Faustina the Younger (ca. 130–176; Roman empress 161–176; Augusta 147–161). Obverse: draped bust of Faustina II facing right, inscribed 'FAVSTINAE AVG - PII AVG F'. Reverse: Venus standing left, holding an apple in her outstretched right hand and a rudder in her left hand, a dolphin wrapped around the rudder. Iconography includes Roman deities, dolphins, apples, rudders, Venus; associated iconography of Faustina the Younger. Date: 147–161 CE, Roman Empire (27 BCE–476 CE), Rome. Coin: diameter 16.0–17.0 mm, weight 2.59 g, axis 195°.
