Denarius of Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: Head of Antoninus Pius in a laurel wreath facing right, inscription ANTONINVS AVG - PIVS PP COS III. Reverse: Pax (personification) standing left, holding a twig in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left, inscription P - AVG. Iconography includes personifications, twigs, cornucopia (horns of plenty). Date: 140–144. Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome. Coin; diameter 16.5–18.0 mm, weight 3.00 g, axis 180 degrees.
