Obv. In the border a crowned monogram composed of the letters SR, beneath which is Kettler's family emblem (a cauldron hook). On both sides of the monogram are date numerals 15–79. Rev. In the border Pogon, below the value number II, 1579. Duchy of Courland and Semigallia, Mitawa; coin, weight 0.68 g.
