CAESAR AVGVSTVS DIVI F PATER PA (obverse) and CAESARE / AVGVSTI F COS DESIG PRINC IVVENT (reverse, under the line). Obverse: Emperor's head with laurel wreath to right. Reverse: Gaius and Lucius stand upright, in togas with veils, hands resting on shields between them; behind the shields spears, between which are a lituus (left) and a simpulum (right) and an X below. 2 BC–4 AD, Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Lugdunum (Gaul). Silver denarius; diameter 17.3–18.0 mm, weight 3.71 g, axis 0°.
