Ducat depicting male busts in armor and coats of arms; Frederick William I Hohenzollern (Great Elector of Brandenburg; Duke of Prussia; 1620–1688) — iconography. Obverse: frontal bust with long hair, in decorative armor and collar; the figure's head divides the inner border and the rim. In the rim between the borders an inscription beginning with a rosette, characters between words in the shape of rhombuses: FRID.WILH.DGMAR.BRA.SRIARC., .EL. Rw. Under the ducal mitre, a nine-field coat of arms. On both sides of the shield the numerals of the date 16-43 are decorated with rosettes. Below the shield, separated by D - K, decorated with rosettes. On the rim between the borders an inscription divided by a mitre and beginning with a rosette: MONE: NOVA AUREA DUCIS PRUSSIAE, 1643. Königsberg, Ducal Prussia (1525–1701). Coin. Diameter 24.4 mm; weight 3.42 g; axis 30 degrees.
