Denarius, Marcus Aurelius (121–180; Roman emperor 161–180) and Faustina the Younger (ca. 130–176; Roman empress 161–176). Obverse: bust of the empress on the right in drapery, with hair arranged in waves and tied in a bun at the back of the head; inscription fragment 'FAVSTINA AVGVSTA' (only lower parts of letters visible). Reverse: HILARITAS (poorly legible) — Hilaritas stands facing left, holding a long palm in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left. Iconography: imperial busts, cornucopia (attribute), Hilaritas (personification), palm branches (attribute). Coin dated 161–176, Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome; weight 2.99 g.
