Denarius, 161–176 CE. Obverse: Bust of Faustina the Younger in drapery, hair arranged in waves and tied in a bun, pearl border; inscription 'FAVSTINA AVGVSTA.' Reverse: Fecunditas standing facing left, holding two children with two girls standing at her sides, pearl border; inscription 'FECVND AVGVSTAE.' Roman Empire (27 BCE–476 CE). Silver coin (denarius), weight 3.05 g. Makers: Marcus Aurelius (emperor 161–180) and Faustina the Younger (empress ca. 130–176). Iconography: Fecunditas (personification) and imperial bust.
