Obverse: DIVA FAVST — bust of Faustina the Elder (98–141; Roman empress 138–141) turned right, draped, hair in a top bun. Reverse: AETERN—? (legend partly given as AET E R N), Providentia standing left, holding a globe in her right hand, supporting a veil floating around her head. Pearl border. Makers/dates: Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Iconography: Providentia (personification), sphere (attribute); imperial busts; numismatic treasure context.
