Denarius, Antoninus Pius (86–161 CE; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: Emperor's head in a laurel wreath facing right; pearl border; inscription 'ANTONINVS AVG PIVS PP IMP II'. Reverse: Annona standing facing left, right hand holding ears of corn above a modius, left hand holding a rudder resting on a ship's prow; beaded border; inscription 'TR POT XXI COS IIII'. Silver coin, weight 2.90 g, axis 180°. Date: 157–158 CE. Roman Empire (27 BCE–476 CE).
