Denarius of Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: Emperor's head in a laurel wreath facing right, inscription 'ANTONINVS AVG PIVS PP'. Reverse: Clasped hands on a caduceus and two ears of corn, legend 'C O S II I' (or similar). Iconography includes hands joined on a caduceus and ears of corn; imperial bust. Roman Empire, 145–161. Coin: silver, diameter 17.8 mm, weight 3.14 g.
