Denarius, Hadrian (76–138; Roman emperor 117–138). Obverse: Emperor's head in a laurel wreath facing right with inscription HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS. Reverse: Annona seated on a low chair turned left, holding a hook over a modius with ears of corn in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left, with inscription COS III. Attributes: cornucopia, modius. Iconography: imperial busts; Abundantia (Annona) with cornucopia. Date: 125–128. Roman Empire (27 BC–476). Coin; weight 3.08 g; axis 180°.
