Obv. A standing figure in armour turned right with a sword at his left side, with his right hand resting on his hip, the left on the sword hilt. On his head is a ducal mitre. The figure divides a double inner border and a rim. In the rim, between the borders, the inscription GEORG.FRID:D:G - .M. - BR:DVX.PRVSS: Circles between the words. Rw. Prussian Eagle, on its chest a crowned letter S. On the rim between the borders an inscription beginning with the mint mark MONE:NOVA.AV, EA.DVCA:PRVSS. 1587. George Frederick (Duke of Karniów; 1539–1603) — iconography, male portrait. Ducal Prussia (1525–1701), Königsberg. Coin; diameter 23.0 mm; weight 3.42 g; axis 315°.
