Crown double ducat, c.1754. Maker: Ernest Dietrich Croll (fl. 1753–1763). Issued under August III the Saxon (King of Poland; Elector of Saxony; 1696–1763). Minted in Leipzig, Germany. Obverse: Crowned bust of the king in right profile, legend 'D.G.AUGUSTUS.III.REX.POLONIARUM'. Reverse: Under the crown a five-field shield with the Polish, Lithuanian and Saxon coats of arms; at the bottom the letters 'EDC' and the inscription 'SAC.ROM.IMP.ARCHIM. ET ELECT. 1754'. Coin of Poland; diameter 27 mm; weight 6.92 g., A round metallic object with a yellow-gold color fills the image, showing a raised decorative design that includes a crowned emblem at the top, a central shield divided into four sections with animal and rider figures in each quadrant, ornate curved lines framing the shield, and a ribbon-like element near the bottom. The surface has fine stamped details and a slightly worn texture, with a narrow raised rim around the edge. The background is plain and white.
