Three-piece coin with the countersignature of the City of Gdansk from 1577. Obverse: male bust in armour, profile turned right; short hair, beard with sideburns. Around the rim the inscription 'ALBER DG MAR BRAN DVX PRVS', continuous border, plant motifs between the words. Countersignature (vertical hook crossed twice with projections in two directions) struck in Gdansk in 1577 during the siege. Reverse: within the continuous border the inscription in six lines 'III GROSS AR TRI X ALBER DVC PRVSSIE 1537'. Maker/publishers: Vogelwaider (Vogelwaid), Eustachius; Decjusz, Jost Ludwik (fl. 1528–1535). Date: 1537. Place: Ducal Prussia (1525–1701), Königsberg. Material/format: coin, diameter 22.3 mm, weight 2.72 g, axis 120°. Condition: good; rarity R5. Motifs: rosettes, plant motifs, male busts in armor.
