Three-piece coin with the countersignature of the City of Gdansk from 1577. Obverse: male bust in armour, profile turned right; short hair, beard with sideburns. Around the rim the inscription 'ALBER DG MAR BRAN DVX PRVS' with continuous border and plant motifs between words. Countersignature (vertical hook crossed twice with projections in two directions) struck in Gdansk in 1577 during the siege. Reverse: within a continuous border the inscription in six lines 'III GROSS AR TRI X ALBER DVC PRVSSIE 1537'. Date: 1537. Maker/publishers: Vogelwaider (Vogelwaid), Eustachius; Decjusz, Jost Ludwik (fl. 1528–1535). Place: Ducal Prussia (1525–1701), Königsberg; Gdansk (countersignature). Style/features: rosettes, plant motifs, male busts in armor. Material/format: coin; diameter 22.3 mm, weight 2.72 g, axis 120°. Condition: good. Rarity: R5.
