Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; ca. 1125–1138). Obverse: in a beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in a double beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls (two with dots); between its arms, a single sun (one with a dot). Iconography: chain mail, spearhead, equal-armed cross, crosses, jaws, martyrs, knight, dragons, fight against pagans, fight between good and evil, Adalbert (Saint; ca. 956–997). Romanesque style. Coin. Poland, Kraków. Diameter 12.6–13.1 mm; weight 0.48 g. State of preservation: very good.
