Denarius, Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1107–1138). Obverse: in the beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in the double beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls (two of them with one dot); between its arms, a single sun (one with a dot). Iconography: chain mail, spearhead (issue mark), equal-armed cross, crosses, jaws, martyrs, knight, dragons, dragon, spears, fight against pagans, fight between good and evil, Adalbert (Saint; ca. 956–997). Style: Romanesque. Date: ca. 1125–1138. Place: Poland, Kraków. Type: coin. Diameter: 12.6–13.1 mm. Weight: 0.48 g. State of preservation: very good.
