Denarius serratus; publishers: L. Pomponius (fl. 118 BC), L. Licinius Crassus (fl. 118 BC), Cn. Domitius Ahenobarbus (fl. 118–96 BC). Imagery: head of Roma in an Attic helmet right on obverse; behind her the sign of value X; pearl border. Inscription around obverse: L.POMPONI.CNF (M and second P lying down, NF in ligature). Reverse: naked warrior on a biga right, holding reins and a carnyx in his left hand, a spear in his right and a shield; inscription under the line L.LIC.CN.DOM; pearl border. Iconography includes helmets, shields, spears, carnyx, warrior on a biga, Attic helmets. Date: 118 BC, Roman Republic. Place: Narbonne. Medium: coin (denarius), serrated; diameter 20.6 mm, weight 3.95 g, axis 180°.
