Denarius; issuer: M. Furius Philus (fl. 119 BC). Obverse: Head of Janus in a laurel wreath; inscription M·FOVRI·L; beaded border. Reverse: Roma, in a Corinthian helmet with a sceptre in her left hand, crowning a trophy with her right; above a star; behind the trophy the inscription ROMA; on both sides of the trophy a carnyx and a shield; under the line the inscription PHILI (PHI in ligature); pearl border. Date: 119 BC; Culture: Roman Republic. Material: silver coin; diameter 19.4 mm; weight 3.38 g; axis 135°.
