Head of a figurine of Dionysus. Head of a young man with a face devoid of expression, with a wide, compact mouth, a triangularly outlined face with carved cheeks, large eyes, a prominent nose and gently outlined eyebrows. On his head the youth wears a diadem decorated with rosettes on the sides and a thick wreath. Traces of red paint (cinnabar) on the hair, lips and diadem. Blue on the rosettes — in the recesses. 5th–4th century BC, Taranto, Southern Italy (Italy). Terracotta figurine, height 8.7 cm, width 8.3 cm, depth 6.3 cm, weight 0.28 kg. Author: Scen. Gal.
