Figurine of a feasting Dionysus: figurine of a feasting man resting on a bed in a semi-reclining position, leaning on his left elbow and holding a cup in that hand. The torso is naked and the lower part covered from the waist with a cloak, the end of which is thrown over the left forearm onto a pillow. On the head is a diadem decorated with pearls, an astral rosette above which a lotus flower protrudes. Red clay, medium-grained with tiny mica particles. 5th century BC (dating before a 2019 revision: late 6th century BC; analogous artifact dated to 480–470 BC). Tarentum. Figurine; height 19 cm, width 15.2 cm, depth 3.3 cm, weight 0.34 kg.
