Crucifixion Polyptych from Pruszcz - middle part — Stations of the Cross: Carrying of the Cross, Crucifixion, Lamentation. Carved wooden altarpiece panel, sculptures gilded except for painted faces and hands; background architecture and tracery also gilded. The carved wardrobe is divided vertically into three zones in a standing-rectangle format, the central zone much higher than the sides (by 2/5 of the height). The zones contain depictions of the Road to Golgotha: left — Carrying of the Cross; center — Crucifixion; right — Lamentation, shown against a landscape with buildings, framed at the top by richly fragmented tracery canopies; on the sides, small scenes from the Old and New Testaments combined typologically. In the central zone, three large Gothic windows in the background suggest the scene takes place in the church chancel despite the landscape with rocky ground and buildings. A strip of tracery decoration runs along the entire width, creating a plinth. Gothic style, ca. 1500, Antwerp. Altarpiece middle panel, height 242.0 cm, width 288.0 cm, thickness 41.3 cm.
