Subjects and motifs: coats of arms; quadripartite coat of arms in a scrollwork cartouche under a mitre with a crosier; on both sides, figures standing on plinths against a background of columns forming an arcade; left: the holy bishop—donor (abbot/founder?) holding a model of the temple; right: a papal figure with a scroll; between the plinths, a horizontal scrollwork cartouche. Iconography: Madonna and Child; Mary (mother of Jesus Christ); Jesus Christ; Child Jesus; Gebhard II (949–995); Constance (Germany); Gregory I the Great (St.; pope; ca. 540–604); Benedictines (order).
