S. Marya (Maria with baby Jesus on a crescent). Maker: Stanislaw Czerski (1777–1833), graphic artist, engraving made by priest Stanislaw Czerski in Salanty in Samogitia. Subject: Mother of God (Mary) bust on the rim of the moon, with baby Jesus holding a cross. Notes: as a parish priest he engraved images of saints with Samogitian inscriptions for his parishioners; the plates, press and tools were transferred to Vilnius after his death. Date: 1822–1832. Medium/format: graphic matrix/graphic plate (engraving). Dimensions: height 7.6 cm, width 5.2 cm.
