S. Ona Mot. Mar. (Saint Anne with Mary), Czerski, Stanislaw (1777-1833), graphic artist, Anna (Saint), Mary (mother of Jesus Christ), reading (genre scenes), mothers with children, religious paintings, saints. The image shows Saint Anne teaching little Mary to read. The engraving was made by priest Stanislaw Czerski in Salanty in Samogitia. 'As a parish priest, with the help of a young assistant he adopted, he devoted himself to engraving images of saints with Samogitian inscriptions: because he only engraved these images for his parishioners, who, as inhabitants of pure Samogitia, do not know any other language. The above-mentioned plates, together with the press and all the tools for imprinting them, were transferred to Vilnius after his death.' 1822–1832, graphic, graphic matrix, graphic plate, height 9.8 cm, width 6.8 cm
