S. Petras Ap. (Saint Peter the Apostle), Czerski, Stanislaw (1777–1833), graphic artist. The image shows Saint Peter the Apostle in a bust, in a cloud, with keys, a skull and a rooster. Engraving made by priest Stanislaw Czerski in Salanty in Samogitia. As a parish priest, with the help of a young assistant he adopted, he devoted himself to engraving images of saints with Samogitian inscriptions because he engraved these images for his parishioners who did not know any other language. Date: 1822–1832. Medium: graphic plate/graphic matrix. Dimensions: height 9.9 cm, width 6.8 cm.
