Nearby a seated figure with dark curly hair and a dark coat holds a thin instrument, while another standing older figure with lighter hair and a dark coat gestures toward them. Toward the center-right a person in a blue garment and a headscarf reaches out with an alarmed posture toward a seated figure wrapped in a bright yellow cloth. A small child in green and blue sits by a hearth, holding a long implement near visible flames. Above, a line with several pieces of hanging cloth stretches across the room. The mantel and surrounding surfaces hold a group of pottery and domestic vessels in muted tones; scattered on the floor are wooden objects, a tipped stool, various domestic tools, and a few ceramic items. The overall palette includes browns, grays, dark blues, reds, yellow, green, pink, black, and white.
