Drachma, Chosroes II Parwiz (ruler of Persia; 590–628). Obverse: bust of Chosroes II facing right, wearing a crown decorated with two wings, a crescent and a star; to the left a star and to the right within a crescent; beads around the neck and a central triangle composed of three dots; behind the crown two ribbons; double pearl rim; behind the rim at the bottom and on both sides a crescent with a star; Pahlavi inscription. Reverse: a burning altar; to its left the ruler/Arsaces standing straight with a sword in his hand; to the right a priest standing straight holding a sword; a star at top left and a crescent at top right; signs/monograms on both sides; triple pearl border; outside it four crescents with stars; Pahlavi inscription. Dated 590–628, Persia. Coin; weight 4.50 g.
