Obverse: bust of Khosroes I facing right; wearing a crown with a crescent topped by a korymbos, a crescent with a star on the right, a star on the left; short curly beard, hair tied back in a lock; beads on the neck (central bead composed of three triangular beads), a second long chain around the neck, and an earring made of three triangular beads. Pahlavi legend. Reverse: fire altar; left of altar the ruler stands facing forward holding a sword, right of altar a priest stands facing forward holding a sword; star at top left and crescent at top right; signs/monograms on both sides; pearl rim. Sassanid art, Sassanid Kingdom, Iran/Persia, 537–579. Coin: diameter 27.0 mm, weight 3.15 g.
