Obverse: bust of Kavadh I facing right; crown with ribbons, on the crown a crescent and above it a korymbos, in front a crescent, stars on both sides; short curly beard, curly hair tied back, earring in one ear, beads and long chain around the neck, ribbons flowing behind the shoulders; crescents on both sides of the bust; three crescents with a star in the center outside the rim. Pahlavi legend. Reverse: fire altar; left of altar the ruler stands facing forward holding a sword, right of altar a priest stands facing forward holding a sword; star at top left, crescent at top right, signs/monograms on both sides; pearl rim.
