Obverse: Bust of Shapur III facing right; wearing a crown with rosettes and a globe symbolizing the universe; short curly beard, curly hair tied in a round lock, ribbons flowing behind the crown; Pahlavi inscription. Reverse: Burning altar with the bust of the ruler facing right; on both sides of the altar the king and a priest facing each other, both holding swords; pearl border; Pahlavi inscription.
