Crown thaler by Efraim Brenn (fl. 1774–1792), 1785. Obverse: Head of Stanislaw August Poniatowski turned right, around inscription divided at bottom: STANISLAUS AUGUSTUS DG REX POLON. M. D. LITUAN. — pearl border. Reverse: Under a crown, within a wreath entwined with a sash bearing the motto PRO FIDE - LEGE - ET - GREGE, a round five-field coat of arms showing Poland (Orzel), Lithuania (Pogon) and the Poniatowski coat of arms (Ciolek); the sash bears the Order of the White Eagle; letters E. - B. at sides; around inscription divided twice: X EX MARCA PURA - COLONIEN. 1785. — pearl border. Edge inscription: FIDEI- PUBLICAE- PIGNUS. Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth (1569–1795). Coin diameter 40.0–40.4 mm, weight 28.08 g.
