Crown thaler by Efraim Brenn (fl. 1774–1792) for Stanislaw August Poniatowski (King of Poland; 1732–1798), 1775. Obverse: Head of Stanislaw August turned right, around the inscription divided at the bottom: STANISLAUS AUGUSTUS DG REX POL. M D LITU. — pearl border. Reverse: Under a crown, in a wreath entwined with a sash bearing the motto PRO FIDE - LEGE - ET - GREGE, a round five-field coat of arms with the coats of arms of Poland (Orzel), Lithuania (Pogon) and the Poniatowski coat of arms (Ciolek); below on the sash the Order of the White Eagle; on the sides the letters E. - B.; around the inscription divided twice: X EX MARCA PURA - COLONIEN. 1775. — pearl border; edge inscription DEI - PUBLICAE - GNUS. Coin of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth (1569–1795). Coin diameter ~40.3–41.5 mm, weight 28.02 g.
