Two gold crown coins (1766) depicting Stanislaw August Poniatowski (King of Poland, 1732–1798). Obverse: head of Stanislaw August with inscription around rim 'STANISLAUS AUG.DGREX POL.MDL' and pearl border. Reverse: under a crown, within a wreath, a round five-field coat of arms showing Poland (Orzel), Lithuania (Pogon) and the Poniatowski family coat of arms (Ciolek); wreath includes the Order of the White Eagle; letters 'F.- S.' and '8- GR' at sides; rim inscription 'XL.EX.MARCA. - PURA.COL.1766.' and pearl border; decorative edge. Maker: Sylm, Frederick William (fl. 1765–1767). Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (1569–1795), Warsaw, Poland. Coin diameters: 29.5 mm and 29.6 mm; weight 9.25 g.
