Lithuanian grosz on a Polish foot, Sigismund II Augustus (King of Poland; 1544–1572). Obverse: Crowned male bust in armour turned right, separating an inscription in a half-circle at the top: SIGIS·AVG·REX; at the bottom horizontally in two lines: POLO·MAG / DVX·L. Reverse: Lithuanian Pogon (Pursuit) facing left; below the crown dividing the date 15 - 66; a tied monogram consisting of the letters SA and the Jastrzebiec coat of arms, which divide the rim inscription: MONETA·MAGNI·DVCA·LITV. Maker: Myszkowski, Stanislaw (?-1570). Iconography: royal busts, monograms (SA), coats of arms (Pogon, Jastrzebiec). Date: 1566, struck in Tykocin, Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Coin; diameter ~22.2–22.8 mm; weight 1.84 g.
