Lithuanian grosz on a Polish foot, Sigismund II Augustus (King of Poland; 1544–1572). Obverse: Crowned male bust in armour turned right, separating the inscription in a half-circle at the top: 'SIGIS-' and 'REX' at the bottom horizontally in two lines: 'OLO.MAG/ VX.L.' Reverse: Lithuanian Chase turned left; below, under the crown, dividing the date 15-47, a tied monogram composed of the letters SA and the coat of arms of the Columns of Giedymina, which divide the inscription on the rim: 'MONETA.MAG VC.LITVA'. Date: 1547. Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Vilnius, Poland. Coin; diameter 22.2–22.8 mm; weight 2.1 g.
