Lithuanian grosz, Sigismund I the Old (King of Poland; 1506–1548). Obverse: Polish crowned eagle; rim inscription between pearl-shaped borders: SIGISMVNDVS.P.REX.PO.MDLITV. Reverse: Pogon (Lithuanian knight) turned left, below year 15-35 (1535), rim inscription between pearl-shaped borders divided at the bottom by a shield with coat of arms; columns: MON, TA.MAGNI-D, TVS.LI, 1535. Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth (Kingdom of Poland, Grand Duchy of Lithuania), struck in Vilnius. Coin; diameter ~25.5–26.2 mm; weight 2.25 g; R8 (rarity)., A worn circular metallic coin with a mostly gray surface showing a slightly darker gray patina in places, faint raised relief of an eagle with spread wings at the center, a surrounding circular border with worn raised elements and decorative curved leaf-like shapes near the bottom, and areas of subtle shadow and light giving the surface a textured, aged appearance.
