Thaler, coats of arms, male bust in armour, George William Hohenzollern (Elector of Brandenburg; Duke of Prussia; 1620–1640) — iconography. Obverse: torso facing right in collar and decorative armour girded with a sash, sceptre in right hand, helmet with raised visor and plume in left hand. In the rim, between the borders, an inscription beginning with a rosette GEORG:WILH:D:G:M, RCHI:BRAN:SAC:ROM:IMP:ARCHIC:EL:D.PRVS:. Reverse: a twenty-four-field coat of arms with ornaments, topped with seven jewels. The date numerals 16 · 28 are separated by jewels. On the half-rim between the rims, an inscription beginning with a rosette and ending with a heart, ANCK.BEDENCK.DAS.ENDE. 1628. Ducal Prussia (1525–1701), Königsberg. Coin: diameter 43.1 mm, weight 29.04 g, axis 45°.
